ABOUT GATE EXAMINATION

Candidates will be required to appear in a single paper of three hours duration. The GATE online examination will be held forenoon (09:00 AM to 12:00 noon) and afternoon (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM) sessions on 31st January, 1st, 7th, 8th and 14th February 2025. The list of papers for GATE 2024 is given under Structure of GATE. The question papers will be in English only.

Before applying for GATE 2025, candidates must assure themselves that they have chosen the right paper, which qualifies them to become eligible to seek admission to the specific programme they are interested in. The criteria for postgraduate admission with Scholarship/ Assistantship are different in various Institutes/Universities. GATE Offices will not provide any information in this regard. For more details, the candidates are required to contact the Institutes/Universities to which they are interested in seeking admission.

The choice of the paper is the responsibility of the candidate.

Last Date for Submission of Online Application through Website	Wednesday	1st October 2024
Last Date for Request for Change in the Choice of Examination City via GOAPS login	Saturday	21st November 2024
Availability of Admit Card on the Online Application Interface for Printing	Wednesday	17th December 2024
GATE 2014 Online Examination Forenoon: 9.00 AM to 12.00 Noon Afternoon: 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM	Saturdays and Sundays	31st January, 1st, 7th, 8th and 14th February 2025
Announcement of Results on the Online Application Website	Thursday	12th March 2025 (10:00 Hrs)
