Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech at IIT Madras To get admission in any of the M.Tech programmes, you need to qualify in the GATE with good score.
Either a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or Architecture,or a Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Life Science isrequired.
If you have appeared in the final examination and waiting for your results you can also apply for the M.Tech courses.
1st class degree in your B.E/B.Tech is needed. The SC/ST candidates need to secure 55% marks.
If you are a sponsored candidate you need to have a professionalexperience of at least 2 years. Apart from that you must hold a B.E orB.Tech degree from a recognized university with an aggregate of 60%marks.
IIT Madras M.Tech Admission Procedure:
To getadmission to the M.Tech programme at IIT Madras you have to purchase ordownload the application form and submit it with the photocopies ofyour documents.
While submitting the filled-in applicationform, you have to pay the application fee of Rs.300 (SC/ST candidateshave to pay Rs.150) by DD drawn in favor of the 'Registrar, IIT Bombay'payable at SBI and Canara Bank, IIT Powai branch.
The application form is generally distributed from the 3rd week of March to the 3rd week of April.
