India's growth in recent years has been led bythe services sector only. It should be noted that Indian's spend nearly$4 billion annually to send their children abroad for higher studiesand technical training while there is no reason for India not emergingas a global hub for higher education and technical training. Engineeringis the back bone of Technology, which helps it to stand and make itstable. Engineering is the word which not only deals with computers,cars etc but also with aerospace. Engineering offers variousdisciplines like: Aeronautical Engineering AeronauticalEngineering deals with the designing, constructing, analyzing, testingdevelopment & manufacturing of aircrafts, missiles and spacecrafts.Scope of aeronautical engineering exists in the Aerospace Industriessuch as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, DRDO, Air India, IndianAirlines, and ISRO. Electronics & Communication Engineering Thisbranch of engineering fabricates and test electronic circuitsManufacturing, testing and maintenance of electronic devices andsystems. Its scope offering organizations are Electronic Exchanges,Department of Telecommunications, Doordarshan Parsar Bharti, BSNL,Railways, Electricity Board etc. Mechanical Engineering MechanicalEngineering deals with the principles of physics for analysis, design,manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. Companies like Maruti, Hero Honda, Tata Motors and Careers AC offers a bright future to the eligible candidates. Civil Engineering CivilEngineer deals with the design, construction and maintenance of roads,bridges, dams etc. It is one of the most established engineeringprofessions today. Scope of civil engineering exists in the companies/organizations like NHAI, DLF etc. Biomedical Engineering Mostimportant branch of engineering, deals with biomedical technology,instrumentation and administration. It leads to the development ofmedical technology; the introduction of new engineering methods intopublic health. Presently foreign countries are a source of scope, onthe other side India is also taking fast forward steps towardsbiomedical technology, increasing number of biotechnology companies area great and valid proof for the same. Various Institutes likeIIT's, NIT's are putting more and more efforts for the introduction oflatest technology and instruments in their labs and are contributingmuch in increasing the scope of higher education with updatedtechnology in engineering in India.
