CEED Sample Paper
Some sample questions follow, but they should not be taken as
complete representation of the examination; they only indicate the probable way
questions may be framed.
1. Make a freehand drawing of an "open umbrella".
Draw a three dimensional view with a viewing angle of your
choice.
Your drawing should be large enough to fill the space
provided.
Use only a pencil for drawing. Do not use paints, crayons,
color pencils, poster paints, color markers, inks, color sketch pens etc.
You will be evaluated for your drawing ability in terms of
correct perspective, proportions and quality of line.
2. Given below are three forms: a cube, a cone and a sphere.
Combine these three forms in any manner to design a
gift for an employee who is leaving a design company.
The forms can be considered as solid, hollow or as wireframes.
You can increase or decrease the size of the given forms, but
do not distort them. Specify the materials to be used in the final product.
The design object should be drawn large enough to fill the
space provided.
You will be evaluated on your innovativeness, the
aesthetic quality of your design, sense of proportion, choice of materials and
color etc.

4. The sequence of four figures below shows a paper being
folded progressively. The fourth figure also shows a cut to remove a small piece
of paper.
